Dear Prospective Student/Parent,
We are so honored that you are interested in learning more about our music studio, and we’re excited about the possibility of working with you and your family.
After graduating from UCLA with my B.A., I set out to conquer the world with music. While honing my skills as a piano teacher, I began to dream of owning my own studio – a place where learning to play the piano would be fun and where students could have input in the music they were learning, a place where they would be built up and encouraged for their progress and where they’d leave each lesson with a deeper understanding of music and love for the piano.
In 2009 I took the leap and founded The Schuler Music Studio. Within eight months my piano student enrollment had exceeded capacity, so I began hiring other piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele and banjo teachers who shared my musical philosophy. Word is continuing to spread about how rewarding it is to take lessons at our music studio, and we’re continuing to expand.
So, why have we been so successful up to this point? I believe our three-part, student-centric approach is the key:
1) We emphasize confidence-building.
2) We focus on providing a solid musical foundation.
3) We specialize in making the learning process fun.
Music is a part of everyone; it’s inside of us all! It’s our goal as a music studio and as individual teachers to draw out the inner musician in our students, to inspire it, to educate and develop it, and to excite its passion to play and create.
So, come play with us! And let us be a part of your musical journey!
Sincerely,
Mary Ruth Schuler,
Executive Director
